HARVESTING:   End of August
FERMENTATION:   Open alcoholic fermentation in tanks, malolactic fermentation in barrels
MATURATION:   16 months in barrels (25% new wood)

Alcohol: 13.5% volume
Acidity: 4.8 g/l
Residual sugar: 1.0 g/l

Tasting:
Light ruby red with transparent rim; pronounced fruit – ripe strawberries, red fruits; fine spiciness, plenty of body, tight tannin structure on palate; very young, complex wine with good length and some laying-down potential.

 


 

 


 

PANNOBILE - quality wine

GRAPE VARIETALS:   55% Zweigelt, 35% Blaufränkisch, 10% St. Laurent
VINEYARDS:   Breitenacker, Altenberg, Luckenwald
TERRAIN:   Breitenacker: medium heavy, humus
Luckenwald: reddish gravel
Altenberg: sandy loam
HARVESTING:   Early to mid-September
FERMENTATION:   Alcoholic temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in barrels
MATURATION:   18 months in barrels (50% new wood)

Alcohol: 13% vol
Acidity: 5.7 g/l
Residual sugar: 0.8 g/l

Tasting:
Dark ruby red with purple rim; pronounced fruit, berries and plums, subtle spiciness, dense and structured on the palate, very compact and tightly knit, supple tannins, pleasant acidity, good length, good ageing potential

 

 


 

PINOT NOIR - quality wine

TERRAIN:   Sandy loam with surface gravel
HARVESTING:   Mid-September
FERMENTATION:   Alcoholic temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in large barrels
MATURATION:   11 months mainly in used barrels

Alcohol: 13% vol

Tasting:
Clear ruby red with violet rim; intensive wild cherry over delicate Blaufränkisch spice, very fresh and lively on the palate, youthful tannins.

 


 

 


 

ST LAURENT SCHLAFLEITEN

TERRAIN:   Sandy loam, medium stone content
HARVESTING:   Mid-September
MUST DENSITY:   17,5° KMW
FERMENTATION:   Alcoholic temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in barrels
MATURATION:   16 months in barrels (20% new wood)

Alcohol: 12.5% vol
Acidity: 5.6 g/l
Residual sugar: 1.6 g/l

Tasting:
Dark ruby red with violet rim; dark berries and damsons, very spicy, tight on the palate, with lively acidity, soft tannins in the finish. 

 

 


 

WEIßBURGUNDER (PINOT BLANC) - quality wine

MATURATION:   In large wooden barrel s on fine lees, bâtonnage

Tasting:
